In the shade garden........

Arisaema sikokianum

I love the Spring for these plants, Arisaema sikokianum also known as Snow Arisaema. Displaying its snow-white pestle shaped spadix above five-part leaves in April. The pseudostem and spathe are green and maroon in varying proportions.
Leaves may be solid or variegated.
There is only one place that these plants are native. The Japanese island of Shikoku, where they grow in the leafy forest duff that is damp but never water-logged.
Reaching a height of around 24" to 28".
This variety is always at the top any wish list, but make sure it is on yours.

USDA hardiness zone 5
