Elk Cove On a Sunday Afternoon

A customer came in at the store last week, said he had seen Witch Hazels and other plants in bloom and worth driving out to see them. I asked him where and he said "Bishops Close". So on Sunday I packed up my camera, a bottle of water, and headed out to Elk Cove Gardens of The Bishop's Close. It was truly a beautiful day with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky. Lots of plants coming to life and creatures stirring all over. If you can manage to spare a little time to make the trek there, it would truly be worth the time.

I was able to be two feet away from this little bird to take its photo, I stood and watched it for about a half hour. It did not seem to care that I had invaded its privacy.

Winter Beauties

I have again been inspired to start writing due to the fact that plants are awaking here at Beech Street Gardens. I feel I took to much time off but I just could not set down and do it. Seeing the gardens coming back to its beauty makes me happy and excited about the coming year.
